Vertical Screen Headquarters Tour and Panel Discussion
Don’t miss your opportunity to see the first building in Bucks County designed to achieve LEED Platinum status

Date and Time:
Thursday, July 21, 2011 | 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Vertical Screen, Inc.
251 Veterans Way
Warminster, PA 18974

Don’t miss your opportunity to see the new Vertical Screen, Inc. headquarters building in Warminster, Pa. The applicant screening company's new headquarters building is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification – which would make it the first LEED Platinum site in Bucks County and one of the few in Pennsylvania.

Building Features:
The project redeveloped a former Brownfield site once occupied by the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) and contains advanced green technologies, including: a geothermal HVAC system that uses 64 500-foot-deep wells to heat and cool the building; a 900-panel solar array with a unique cylindrical design that provides approximately 20% of the building’s energy requirements; a rainwater harvesting system that uses rainwater to flush toilets and irrigate plants; LED lighting and a daylight harvesting system; a building automation system that helps systems work together to maximize energy savings; and much more.

Hear from the building’s designers, Erdy McHenry Architecture in Philadelphia, who are joined on the panel by Vertical Screen CEO Tony D’Orazio. Together, they’ll discuss how Erdy McHenry made Tony’s vision of a sustainable, healthy and productive facility a reality. Erdy McHenry is the same team who designed the European-style mixed-use Piazza at Schmidt’s in Northern Liberties and Drexel University’s “Leaning Tower of Pisa” residence hall. Scott Kelly of Re:Vision Architecture in Philadelphia, who served as the project’s LEED consultant, will also be on hand to discuss the unique benefits and challenges involved in constructing a “green” building.

A tour will be followed by a panel discussion about the building featuring:
• David McHenry and Scott Erdy, Erdy McHenry Architecture
• Scott Kelly, Re:Vision Architecture
• Tony D’Orazio, CEO, Vertical Screen, Inc.
