How Can I Get Involved?

DVGBC's mission is carried out by the thoughtful and dedicated work of our members, volunteers and staff with the support of our sponsors through creative partnerships and coalitions, as well as by individuals who act independently in the community. We hope to inspire impactful action that makes a difference in the Delaware Valley, mindful of the legacy left for future generations.

There are many ways to get involved that will help change your block, your neighborhood, your company, and the entire region, and we hope you'll join your colleagues and neighbors in their efforts.

What Can I Do to Help My Community?

Membership

Joining as a member helps keep you in better touch with our programs, gives you discounts, access to members-only events, opportunities for networking and business development, and is required for joining a committee. A diverse membership also helps keep us in touch with the needs of the community because our members help shape our programming and advocacy agenda. Learn More

Sponsorship

Without the generous support of our sponsors, DVGBC would be unable to carry out its effective and engaging programs and advocacy efforts. Sustaining sponsors play a large role in supporting the organization. Event sponsorship is another great way to get involved with the organization and its work, whether it's a lunchtime program, full-day class, networking function, or a major event. Committee Work

Each of our committees plays an important role in carrying out DVGBC's mission, and we welcome any member who would like to share their knowledge and time, whether you're an engineer or community organizer. We hope that committee work offers you information, leadership development opportunities, professional development, and a feeling of community and accomplishment; our volunteers are one of our most valued organizational resources. Partnerships and Coalitions

DVGBC welcomes coalition work and collaboration as a core part of carrying out the work of building sustainable communities. Our partners include educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, the business community, and government entities that share our vision for the Delaware Valley. We work on regional, state-wide, and national partnerships, and welcome new strategic alliances.
