This year, in partnership with the Philadelphia Prison System, the competition challenged participants to design a sustainable Green Jobs Training Facility. Participants included students from Drexel University, Temple University, Florida A&M University, Harrisburg Area Community College, and Pennsylvania College of Technology. Also, individual participants included young professionals within three years of graduation from national locations.

Mario Gentile of SHIFT_DESIGN
Laura Hansplant of Andropogon Associates, Ltd.
Shannon Kaplan of In Posse
Jack Strong of the Energy Coordination Agency
Christopher Wilson of Izmir University of Economics in Izmir, Turkey
George T. Wilson of Meyer Design
An awards ceremony for all participants was held on April 28, 2011, as part of the DVGBC’s ‘Best of Greenbuild’ event.
